Adoption madness!

My slave has been terrible about keeping this updated, I'm very disappointed in her. I wish I could type without her help! However, she has just gotten a new job and will be working days again. Hopefully this means more time for us bunnies!

Sammy has finally been adopted! She will be going to her forever home tomorrow. She will be bonded to a sweet little boy bunn. My slave will miss her so much, but Sammy needs a home with less bunnies. Being bonded in a 2 bunn home will be perfect for her. She was bonded when she came to the shelter, but her mate passed away. Let's hope for a quick bond and a happily ever after for Sammy!

Fosters number 3 and 4 have been adopted and are doing well in their new forever home! The big brownish bunny is Flynn. He is a 3 legged Flemish Giant cross. His wifebun is Fenella, a New Zealand cross. They think he was hit by a car, his front leg was so badly broken it needed to be amputated. But he doesn't seem to miss it, he still does big binkies and runs around like crazy. They are very sweet bunnies, my slave misses them very much, but is very happy they have a new home. Being such big bunnies, having more room is much better for them.

Hopefully my slave will be able to adopt Opal now that she has a new job! Just have to wait and see how finances are after the holidays. But I don't think Opal will be going anywhere :)

Happy 6 year Bunniversary Peanut!

I have been owned by Peanut for 6 years now!  I can't believe it.  She has been with me through thick and thin, I love her so much!  She'll be getting spoiled rotten today and getting lots of treats.  It breaks my heart that she is not very well.  She is fighting a recurrent sinus infection that is not responding to antibiotics.  But she is a little trooper and is not giving up yet!

Foster #2 Opal

OMB I can't believe it has been over a month since my last post! Time flies so fast and my slave is far too busy for my liking. Here is our second foster bunny Opal.

I particularly like this first picture, it looks like she is scheming which is what every good bunny should do. She may make an evil overlord yet, but she is a bit of a softy.

Opal is a big beautiful New Zealand white rabbit. We think she had been living outside for quite some time. She had worn down nails and grease stains on her fur from living under cars. But after a massive shed she is now nice and pure white again.
She is a really sweet bunny who will stop and smush to the floor the moment you start petting her. She is very curious and loves to explore. A public service announcement type message, always spay your bunnies! Besides the obvious reasons of preventing pregnancy and cancer. Opal was VERY hormonal prior to spay, she went through a false pregnancy, built a nest and was very stressed out. She was very protective of her nest and would box and even bite my slave. But now that she is spayed she is a big suck and shows no aggression. Also due to her high hormones she had some complications after her spay. She had a lot of bruising around her incision and some bleeding. Fortunately she healed up well and is perfectly fine now. My slave is hoping to adopt her, but needs to get a better paying job first since funds are a little tight right now. Wish her luck!

New foster #1 Sammy!

This little sweetheart is Samantha aka Sammy. She was surrendered to a shelter with a mate who passed away shortly after. Poor thing was very depressed and lonely, so RR wanted to get her out and put in a home with other bunnies.

She is doing very well with us, she loves being petted and playing with toys. We hope she finds a home soon, my slave thinks she would be best in a place with a bunny friend but not too many other bunnies in the same area. She like to protect her pen from intruders and can get quite agitated when other bunnies spend too much time hanging around the outside of it. Since she was bonded before she should have a friend again if possible.

Wow time flies!! Update part 2

My slave has really been slacking, sorry for the delay.  Although I partially think she was avoiding the next part of the update.

There has been a lot of sadness for us over the last few months.  First just days before the big move, Georgie wasn't feeling well.  It seemed like gas at first, but in less than 12 hours he was gone.  It turns out he a very severe pasturella infection.  He was so good at hiding it my slave did not see any signs early enough to stop the infection.  He just couldn't wait any longer before seeing his Gracie again.  I hope they are very happy together again at the Bridge.

Not long before the big move, Moo decided that Chopper was alright after all and escaped and bonded herself with him.  My slave was very happy and very surprised.  Unfortunately it wasn't meant to last, but they did comfort each other during the move.  She may have known he wasn't well.
It was discovered some time ago that poor Chopper had bad teeth.  He went in for a molar trim/recheck when they discovered he had two rotten infected molars.  He had them removed and was not allowed to eat solid food for a whole week!  The poor fella was not happy.  However, during that week he was worse than expected.  He was miserable and lost a lot of weight despite being fed lots of critical care.  When he went in for a recheck my slave was convinced he had an infection in his mouth that was making him so unhappy.  However, it was even worse news.  The vet discovered his stomach felt very bloated even though he was still pooping, so decided to do an x-ray.  The x-ray showed that poor Chopper had a stomach full of tumours.  He had been fighting this a long time but had never shown any signs before he had his teeth done.  My slave made the tough decision to help him to the RBB because he was so unhappy and obviously in a lot of pain.

Binky free my friends.

I don't want to cut it off here without updating with some of the good news around here.  We have 4 new foster bunnies!  Pictures to come very soon, I promise this time!!  I will bite my slave til she cooperates!

We are back!

I am so sorry for the lack of posts. My slave was too busy getting ready to move and then we had no internet for over a month! Lots of updates some good, some bad. I'll try to go in the order everything happened. To keep my posts from getting too long, I think I'll break it up into a couple of posts. Keep checking back! I promise to post every day or so.
First I have a new minion, no pictures but here is a video! His name is Charlie.
He is a sweet little mini rex like me, he reminds my slave of Gracie personality-wise. He loves to give kisses, run around her feet and get petted. He also has very bad teeth, poor little guy. However, regular tooth trims keep him in tip top shape and his is a happy little bunny. I apologize for my slaves lack of video editing skills, so it is kinda long with no music. But at least you can see what Charlie looks like!

Next up was the big move! Starting the weekend of March 12 my slave started moving out all of her stuff! It was a little stressful for us bunnies, but we did okay. We moved a couple of weeks later. Now we are in a nice big house instead of an apartment! We have a yard and my slave is going to plant a vegetable garden! I am very excited about all of this.

More tomorrow!

Hoppy New Year and Pictures part 4!

Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts but my slave was very busy in December and is finally getting caught up enough to get back to helping me with this computer thing. I hope everyone had a great holiday!

At least she is done with school work for awhile, which makes us happy because it means more time with us!

My slave decided on Christmas eve to give Spot a forever home here with us. This means that my army is now up to 6 bunny minions and 2 cat minions! I think I'm doing pretty well for myself. The next step is taking over the whole world! muahahaha....

Sorry got a little carried away there. Here is another installment of the anxiously awaited Studio Lapin photos of my army. The last one coming soon!
