Pictures Part 3!

Sorry for the delay, my slave is doing more studying! I'm getting sick of this, she should at least leave the books on the floor so I could do some "studying" myself! I would show her how she should really treat those nasty books! haha

These are the remaining pictures of Fuzz and me, I decided not to leave the best for last since you guys have been waiting so patiently.

More to come!

Pictures Part 2!! The new arrivals!

This is my new cat minion, Earl Grey! He is about 6 months old and Sapphire doesn't like him much yet. He drives my slave crazy sometimes, which I find really funny, less work for me as well! haha He likes us bunnies although he plays a little rough sometimes. Also, he likes to eat rabbit food! What a silly kitty.

These are pictures of the new foster bunny Spot! He is a tiny little dwarf bunny. He is very active and is in love with Sapphire, he chases her around whenever he is out of his pen. He was trouble for my slave in the beginning, the little guy did not want to eat! But now he has come around and is eating well. It was fun for awhile, the rest of us bunnies got the concoctions my slave made up to try to tempt him to eat. She mixed pellets with banana and apple/strawberry baby food, he wouldn't touch it, but we loved it!

I guess I would like to share that back in October, my slave celebrated 5 years of servitude with me. I was grown up when she got me, so I'm probably around 7 years old now. I'm probably the oldest member of the army and of course the wisest! Hopefully I have quite a few more years of domination left in me.

Stay tuned for Part 3!

Sorry!

Hi everyone, sorry for the long delay in posting my slave has been crazy busy. George had a nasty bout of fur block at the end of August, but thankfully he got over it without needing any risky surgery. She wrote some big test called the MCAT in Ottawa on Sept 12. Finally she has been very sick for the last 2 weeks. Us bunnies have been easy on her lately because we feel sorry for her. Luckily she has been giving us lots of treats to make up for being sick and not being able to play with us as much.

Lily won a bunspace contest for her great "butt dewlap" photo above and the prize was a donation to her favourite rescue, which is of course Rabbit Rescue! The money went to help special needs bunnies through the Fiver Fund.

The bonding between George and Lily has been going slow since my slave has been too busy to work much with them but apparently George doesn't want to wait! During George's out time yesterday he managed to jump into Lily's pen! My slave couldn't believe it, there really wasn't much fur, so they must not have fought much (they are both shedding anyway). Also, no apparent injuries either. She doesn't know how long he was in there for since she had been laying down and they didn't make enough noise to wake her up. She found them eating hay together in the litter box, but since Lily looked a little stressed she split them up. Perhaps a bond isn't so far off.

Update!

Hello everyone, sorry for the lack of posts my slave has been busy studying for something she calls the MCAT, I don't know what that means, but it sounds kinda scary.

Anyways, lots of vet trips recently. Chopper was first he had a few more tests done and he seems to be fine. He still drinks a lot but it might be something behavioural the vet said, so we are just going to keep an eye on him for now. Moo had a little episode of gas or something but she didn't start eating again right away, my slave had to force feed her for a few days. She had her teeth checked out and they are fine, so with the heat and all it must just have taken her a bit to get over the tummy trouble. She is now back to normal it seems so that is good. Finally on to me, I had a check-up today and I seem to be over my respiratory infection! Woot finally!! I'm now being weaned off my injections and hopefully the infection is gone for good. So hopefully my army and I stay healthy for a little while now. This has been very hard on my slave both emotionally and financially.

My slave is very excited for Rabbit Rescue's bunfest this weekend! http://rabbitrescue.ca/images/BunFest09_flyer.jpg

She isn't going to be bringing me since I was sick and she dosen't want the stress to bring it back, but she had better bring me some yummy treats home!

Update on Chopper

Chopper's blood work came back pretty much normal, so it seems there is no major problems with his kidneys or anything. My slave has been told to monitor his water intake, and if it is as high as she thinks he may need a few more tests done. The vet suggested possibly testing for EC and do a urinalysis. The antibiotics seem to be starting to work, he seems to be sneezing less. I'll keep posting updates as I get them, he'll be back at the vet the end of next week likely, just before his antibiotics run out.

In other news, I think I am starting to get better, although the vet told my slave that because the duplicillin is working I may have a tooth root abscess or something. Now that is no fun :(

Now Chopper is sick :(

Just as I think I'm starting to feel a little better another member of my furry army falls ill. It had been such a bad year for my army, and a pretty bad year for many other bunnies out there in blog land. Lets hope this bad luck is nearly over and done with! I want my army and all my bunny friends out there to be healthy!

My slave noticed poor Chopper had a snotty nose this morning and got him in to see the vet this afternoon. He was put on antibiotics for his "cold" and that will hopefully clear it up quickly. However, the vet also noticed one of his kidneys felt bigger than the other and that he is dehydrated. He sure does seem to drink and pee a lot, but I always thought it was just because he is a much bigger bunny than me. So we are anxiously awaiting the blood test results to find out if there is something wrong with poor Chopper's kidneys. I will post as soon as I hear something, it likely won't be until late tomorrow or Thursday.

Update

Hello everyone, sorry I haven't been posting much, I am still fighting this nasty respiratory infection. I'm not feeling too bad, but I'm still a bit snuffly and congested. Since I was not getting better with the three antibiotics I was on, the vet felt that my slave should switch to duplicillin injections instead. So now instead of oral antibiotics twice a day I get poked with a needle once per day. I'm not sure I like this very much, but I just don't want to be sick anymore :( I might be starting to feel a little better already, but we will have to wait a little longer to know for sure.

In other news, the rest of my furry army seems to be staying pretty healthy *knocks on wood* The vet bills have been pretty tough on my slave this year, so she is really hoping I get better soon and that the rest stay healthy.

A couple of weekends ago, I got to go on a road trip to one of my slaves friends houses. It was fun seeing another place and getting to explore. I didn't even mind the car trip too much, I just relaxed in my cage. I kinda hope she takes me on more trips :)

I think that is all for now.

On the mend!

I was back at the vet today and she said I was showing a lot of improvement! Yay! Although I will still be on the meds for at least another week maybe more. But I guess I'll keep taking the yucky meds since I'm feeling so much better. I'm not sneezing as much and I can breathe a lot better. Soon I will be back to my evil self.

Still sick :(

Just a little update on me. I'm still not doing so well. I was starting to feel a little better on the one antibiotic but then I started getting worse again :( Apparently, one of the bugs became resistant or I had something else that wasn't being treated. So, I spent the weekend at the vets getting nebulisation treatments and now am on 3 different antibiotics. I am not a happy bunny, to show my disapproval I have been extra mean to my slave and cat since coming home. My slave owes me extra treats for all of this. She has bought a nebuliser so that she can treat me at home instead of having to go to the vet everyday. So at least I won't be back there for a few days. I really hope I start feeling better soon, I don't like being sick. I'll post another update soon.

More Fuzz antics!

I just had to share what Fuzz did the other day. My slave was watching TV, as she has been sick the last few days as well, and she saw Fuzz sit over her phone modem box thing for a little bit. I heard her say to him "You aren't peeing on that are you??" It turns out he did! hehe I have to admit I must be rubbing off on him as that was definitely something very evil to do! My slave thought at first that he just barely got it and it would be okay. But then there was this awful smell my slaves described as 'burning plastic', they frantically ran to the box and discovered it was sparking and smoking! They quickly unplugged it and took it outside so it wouldn't cause a fire or something. Admittedly, the thought of fire was scary but since there was no fire we can laugh about it.

I guess to describe the situation a little better, the phone box (my slaves have what they call a cable phone) was sitting on the floor underneath a stool that the phone sits on. It was on the floor because the cords were too short for it to sit on top with the phone. There was a plastic square grid over the box and Fuzz sat on that. The square grid things are used to make little storage units but my slave used them to build Moo's house and uses them to try to keep us bunnies out of places we aren't supposed to be (like that works ha!). The phone box was near George's house and the grids were there to try to protect the box, but they got knocked down. Fuzz was over there trying to annoy George and he usually pees closer to the pen but I guess he felt like changing it up this time.

Just a quick update on me, I'm still feeling pretty lousy but hopefully the meds kick in soon. I found out I have Pasturella and now only need 1 of the 2 antibiotics, I guess that is kind of a good thing as I really don't like my meds. They are supposed to taste like banana but I think they taste funny.

Sinus infection :(

I have been diagnosed with a sinus infection and I'm on 2 antibiotics and getting critical care to help fight dehydration.  I had to have x-rays yesterday at the vet to make sure the infection hadn't reached my lungs, luckily it hasn't.  Just wanted to update everyone, now I think I'll go lie down again.  I really don't like being sick :(

Now I'm sick :(

So sickness has struck again, this time hitting me.  Not stasis or blockage this time, I have some sort of cold :(  Fuzz may also have it but he is doing better than me.  I have a runny nose and am not feeling quite like my evil self.  My slave will be taking me to the vet tomorrow hopefully, she couldn't make an appointment today as by the time she discovered I was sick it was too late to call.  I'm going to go lie down again.  I'll post again as soon as I have any news.

Caught on camera!

Sorry for the delay in posting, my slave as been very busy with work stuff lately.  But hopefully she'll keep the blog a little more updated now.  Of course my slave would post this picture, she thinks it's cute. I try to keep my cuddle time with Fuzz private, but every now and then she catches us. I guess I have to admit that Fuzz and I are "bonded", I guess I'm getting soft in my old age.  But I'm still the Evil Bunny Overlord, I make sure Fuzz knows who's boss.  I even bit my slave tonight because she fed us too slow.  Fuzz grooms me and provides entertainment for me, so I don't mind having him around.  You can even seem some of the mess he likes to make in this picture, my slave can't keep up sometimes.

As of right now the army and slaves are staying healthy.  My slave was sick last week, but she is feeling better now.  Moo and the cat slave are doing well.  So, paws crossed that everyone stays healthy for a bit now.

Fuzz the brat

My slave likes to say that he is lucky he is so cute because otherwise she would be mad at him a lot.  He does nothing but get into trouble.  This might be part of the reason why I put up with him, it is entertaining to see the slave get upset and shoo him away from things.  The above picture is one example, he loves sneaking into the computer room where the bird lives and eats what the bird throws on the floor.  This alone wouldn't be too bad, but he also tries to steal food right from the birds cage and last night almost ran off with a millet spray!

He also likes to get into places he isn't supposed too.  He sneaks behind the wall unit where all the yummy wires are a lot, he also gets onto the table with all the plants on it sometimes.  From the plant table he even made it on top of Moo's cage, you should have heard my slave when she found him up there!  It was pretty funny, she was very shocked.  Then she was very annoyed when she realized that Fuzz had gotten all kinds of cactus spines in his fur climbing up there.  My slave did not enjoy pulling those out, she complained a lot.

He also likes to annoy the other rabbits, he will lay right outside their pens and taunt them, he will also leave messes near their cages which the slave does not like to clean up.  I can't say I approve of the messes, but the other things are very entertaining!

Update on Moo

Moo is home and doing well.  She is still not 100% but she is getting better every day.  She has 2 motility meds she is taking for a few more days.  Hopefully, she is back to her old self soon!

The rest of the army is doing well.  Chopper's eye seems to be staying the same, although it is tough to tell.  My cat slave also is doing well, her latest allergy episode seems to be cleared up.

Moo is coming home!

Moo is doing much better and is coming home from the vets today!  Hopefully she stays well now.  My poor slave was worried sick about her and the whole army is happy she is coming home.  Bad luck comes in threes right?  So this should be the end of sick bunnies hopefully!

Moo is sick :(

Yesterday my slave noticed that Moo seemed a little off in the afternoon.  When checking her out she noticed that her ears felt cold and her lips looked like they were turning blue.  So off to the vet she went.  She went through what George did, she had to have her stomach decompressed and strangely it was fluid instead of gas again.  The vet wasn't sure she would make it at that point, but she made it through the night and seems to be improving.  I'm not sure she is completely out of the woods yet, as I was told she still isn't eating, but she is in good hands at the vets.  So here is hoping Moo gets better soon and no more of my minions get sick!  I think I jinxed it with that last post...  I'm sorry Moo!

Chopper is staying

My slave decided she couldn't bear to have him go to another home and has decided to adopt him.  So now I have a new member of my furry army!  Five minions plus three slaves seems pretty respectable for an evil bunny overlord.

My army is staying healthy for now which is really good.  Here's hoping we all stay healthy so that my slave doesn't have to worry about as as much.  Also, being sick sucks...

Update on Chopper

Chopper had a good check-up at the vet.  His eye seems to be healing up well, which means he no longer has to wear that silly cone!  He is very happy about that, he really hates that cone.  His skin issue seems to be nothing serious, it looks like some kind of build-up of scar tissue on the biopsy.  The biopsy sites are healing up, so he seems to be on the road to recovery!

I'm back!

My slave is finally feeling a little better so we are finally back.  I apologize for the lack of posts.  First, here is another pic of little Tander, who is now known as Mumble.  My slave got an e-mail from his new slave and she says he sounds very happy.  Yay for Mumble :)

Next, we have a picture of the new foster bunny Chopper!  My slave has started calling him Chopper instead of Hopper because she says it seems to suit him better.

In this picture he is flopped out between George and Lily's pens.  Which was quite brave of him since sometimes those two can get a little territorial.  However, they didn't seem to mind him taking a little rest there.  I don't have any updates on Choppers conditions, but he goes in for a check-up tomorrow.  I did learn that he did not have an abscess but instead has some really weird skin around his front legs.  He had a biopsy done on it to see if they could figure out what was going on.  I'll post an update tomorrow on how he is doing.

New foster and kitty update

My slave is still quite sick, so I suppose I'll cut her some slack for not posting more pics of Tander yet.  My paws just can't work the camera, so I can't do it myself.  I'll make her post them soon.

My cat slave is doing okay.  She was sent home with some steroids to help her.  My slave is also switching her to hypoallergenic food, in case that helps.  My slave caught the flare-up early so she didn't even need any antibiotics (if the sores are left too long they can get infected).  This will probably be a lifetime issue with her, she may need to go on the steroids permanently, but right now they are just treating it when it flares up.

Now the real news, new foster bunny!  His name is Hopper, she isn't that fond of the name.   She thinks it's too generic/common for a bunny and she might try to change it.  Poor thing has had a rough life so far it seems.  My slave wasn't told much at the vet when she picked him up, but it appears he had a huge abscess on one of his front legs/chest, he has a problem with one of his eyes and he is pretty skinny.  But my slave says despite this he is really sweet and loves pets.  She will take some pics when he is feeling a little better.

Little Tander was adopted!

Sorry for the slow posts, my slave has been sick.  She took some pictures of Tander yesterday before his new slave came to pick him up, but she hasn't gotten them off the camera yet.  I'll make her post one tomorrow if they turned out.  He got adopted out before I could really get to know him, but my slave said his new home was perfect for him.  All bunnies deserve good homes and slaves which is why my slave just can't help but try to save them all.  Apparently she is taking in another foster on Wednesday.  I'll post updates when I get them.

In other news, my cat slave is going to the vet tomorrow to get checked out.  She seems to be having a flare up of an allergy-type thing she had in January.  It causes her to get sores on her.  I hope she isn't allergic to us bunnies!  I would miss having her groom me.  Plus I think my slave would be pretty heartbroken if she had to give her up.  Fortunately, I don't think it is likely that the cat is allergic to us, it is probably related to food or something.

New Foster

So my slave has gone a little crazy and is taking care of a new foster rabbit.  I haven't met him yet as he's being kept away from us for a few days.  My slave seems to really like him though.  She says he is really sweet and cuddly.  Hmm, he might make a great cuteness commando...  A cuteness commando's job is to distract the slaves with cuteness so I can get away with more evil things.  She also said he would have been put to sleep by the end of the week if someone wasn't able to foster him.  I guess I can't blame her for wanting to save a bunny.  Although I think she owes me a few extra treats.

All About Pets Show

I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend.  My slave was away on Saturday at the All About Pets Show in Toronto.  She was volunteering for Rabbit Rescue there.  She said she had a good time and really likes helping the bunnies anyway she can.  I forgave her for being gone all day because she brought home some great treats!  She got us willow and apple branches and these delicious pumpkin cookie treats.  I figure she is welcome to go to these kind of things more often as long as she bring us home goodies every time.

George is doing well!

George was back at the vet for a check-up today.  The mysterious sore in his mouth has healed up well.  It must have been caused by a sharp piece of hay or something as his teeth are fine.  Hopefully he stays happy and healthy :)

I hope everyone has a happy and safe Easter weekend.

Back to me!

I figured it was about time I posted a great pic of me!  This is my blog and there haven't been nearly enough posts about me lately.  Thankfully, my furry army seems to be doing okay now.  I'll post an update about George after his appointment on Thursday.

I'm really hoping my army stays healthy for awhile now.  My poor slave can't handle anymore sick bunnies.

So yeah in other news, I have a new roommate.  My slave has let Fuzz live with me.  I suppose it's okay, he does groom me and he puts up with me when I'm grumpy (which is often).  My slave is making a big fuss over it, but I don't know what the big deal is.  She says she is so happy we are "bonded" and that she thought I would never bond to any other bunny.  I'd hate to tell her that I don't believe this bonded thing, but since Fuzz isn't too annoying I'll let her think that.  I guess I may not be all evil.

George is home

George is back home and doing much better.  He is eating and hopping around his pen like nothing happened.  He has a sore in his mouth that wasn't caused by bad teeth, so he is going back to get it checked out on Thursday.  Hopefully, it is nothing serious and just heals up on its own.

George is doing better!

My slave got some good news from the vet.  George is eating, pooping and maintaining his temperature!  He is still getting IV fluids, but hopefully he'll be feeling much better soon.  He is still staying overnight at the vet, but hopefully this means he is out of the woods.

Yay George!

Now George is sick :(

Just as Lily recovers, George gets ill.  Poor George is at the vets now being treated for a serious blockage.  He will be kept overnight.  We all have our paws and ears crossed for him.  My slave is beside herself with worry.  I'll post updates when we get them.

Lily is doing great!

Thankfully Lily is feeling much better and is back to her normal self again :)  She had us worried for a bit there and is now being spoiled rotten by my slave.  I suppose I'll let it go since she was sick.  Her face is healing up nicely as well, the abscess seems to be under control now.   Unfortunately, she is afraid of Moo now :(  Every time Moo is out running around Lily thumps and tries to hide.  Moo is such a big meany.  Poor Fuzz has several bite wounds from their run-in that my slave just discovered recently.  With all of Fuzz's fur it is hard to detect injuries.  Luckily they seem to be healing up well but my slave will keep a close eye on them.  There is never a dull moment around here!

Lily back to the vet

Poor Lily, she is back to the vet today and will stay overnight.  Her gas episode seems to be more than gas since she is still not eating and not pooping.  She is at the vet getting motility meds and force feedings.  My slave is leaving her at the vet since she will be out of town from tonight til tomorrow morning  and was going to take Lily with her.  But she didn't want Lily to be so far away from the vet in case she got worse over night.  I hope she feels better soon :(

Lily to the vet

Poor Lily needed to go to the vet today for the bite mark on her face.  Last night my slave decided she didn't like how it felt and called the vet first thing this morning.  Unfortunately, there was an abscess forming :(  She got it cleaned out and is now on antibiotics.  My slave feels terrible that she was sick and couldn't take Lily in sooner.  But it seems like it was caught early enough for it to still be easily treated.  Hopefully it heals up quickly.  To top is all off, poor Lily seems to have gas today too and isn't eating.  Poor bunn, I'll make sure my slave gives her extra pets and treats.

Time flies!

So I apologize for the slow post, my slave has been sick and I didn't realize how long it had been!  Here is a pic of me and my cat slave, she is taking a break from grooming me.

So news from the last week, Chocolate is safe and sound at her new foster home but is still being a little picky about eating.  I hope she feels better soon.  She doesn't know what she's missing!  Those Martin's pellets are delicious, I attack my slave if she feeds me too slow.

There was an incident a couple of days ago, Moo escaped from her pen and started fighting with everyone!  She wouldn't listen to me, I was very disappointed in her.  There was fur everywhere from her and Fuzz fighting.  My slave was so upset, what's worse is that she discovered later that Moo had hurt Lily's face.  Luckily, Fuzz and Moo were not injured that we could tell.  My slave is keeping a close eye on Lily, she may still need to go to the vet unfortunately.

Chocolate our temporary foster

Chocolate is a new bunny available for adoption at Rabbit Rescue.  She was spayed on Wed. and my slave is looking after her until her new foster slave can come pick her up tomorrow morning.  Us bunns didn't get a chance to get to know her, but my slave says she is a really sweet bunny.  Unfortunately, she hasn't been feeling very well since her surgery and isn't eating very well, although my slave said she is doing better today.  So I hope she is feeling better soon and enjoys the good life of having slaves, it is so much better than being in a shelter.  Good luck in finding your forever home Chocolate :)

Goodbye Bing

More sad news for this blog concerning the large white rabbit mentioned in the first post.  This rabbit was Mr. Bingley aka Bing he was a "Barrie Bunny" from Rabbit Rescue that I was fostering for awhile.  If you want more info about the Barrie bunnies or any other RR info please check out the link on this blog.  I found out that he crossed the bridge on Monday.  This is one of my favourite pictures of him he was trying to get into the hay bag.  After I took the picture he gave me a look that said "Why did you make it so hard for me to eat this hay?"

He was such a wonderful bunny and I'm so glad he found such a loving forever home.  I thought of him often and miss him very much.  I hope he is up there binkying up a storm with Gracie and all the other bunny angels.

Updates from this past week

Poor Fuzz had to go to the vet on Monday because he hurt his eye.  I guess I'll admit that I hurt his eye, but I didn't mean to!  It was because my slave has decided to "bond" Fuzz and I.  Ha!  The evil overlord does not bond to anybun :P  I may accept him as a roommate if I can get him trained properly though.  She kept sticking us together and I would get annoyed at him and I accidentally scratched his eye.  He is apparently a slow learner, he has started to groom me though, so he is getting there.  There may be hope for him yet.  He went back in for a check-up today and the vet said it is healing well.  But don't worry it is not serious or anything.  Lily also went in for a check-up today, she got a clean bill of health plus some meds to make sure she doesn't pick up any nasty mites that might be still hanging around here.

Sorry no pic today since Fuzz and Lily were so annoyed at having to go the vet, my slave thought she would be nice and leave them alone.  I say she should have just done it anyway, I don't have wimps in my army (except maybe Moo...), but oh well.  I'll make sure she posts more soon, even bite her if I have too.

We are back!

Introducing Lily!  She is the newest member of my furry army.  The slaves are hoping she will be a new friend for George.  She is a very disapproving bunny, so she is fitting in well!  I have also discovered that I am on the small side for a minirex.  Apparently we should weigh around 3-5 pounds.  I'm just under 3 now and Lily is much larger than me, so are a couple of other minirexes my slave recently met.  Regular rexes are 7-11 pounds (very big!) though, so she is definitely not one of them.  However, what I lack in size I make up for with bunnitude.  Lots more to tell from the last week, I'll post another update tomorrow.

So my slave has decided she is too busy studying to update for the next few days.  I'll make sure she posts lots of pictures when we are back on Thursday.

Yay freedom and news!

My slave is too busy today to take any pictures, she is busy with studying for some big exam and she has to prepare for the new bunny coming tomorrow!  After we lost little Gracie, my slave thought she should get a new friend for George since he doesn't really get along with Moo yet.  I'll make sure my slave takes some pictures of her.  I'm looking forward to having a new member of my furry army, plus I've heard she is a fellow minirex, perhaps she will become my second-in-command in time.

We all enjoyed our freedom yesterday, except Moo.  At first she didn't know what was going on and thumped a few times, she is silly some times.  Such a scaredy bunn, if she wasn't such a good demolition artist I might not let her serve in my army!  George and Fuzz were binkying up a storm.  George hasn't binkied in a long time so my slaves were very happy to see him do it.  I'm not one to really show emotion but I did enjoy getting out of my pen.

We are free!!

Muahaha.. she finally caved!  Not as early as I would have liked but still before the 15 days :)  I'm too busy enjoying my freedom right now to make a long post but I will tomorrow.

Day 8 of Lockdown

Day 8... this really isn't fun, I'm so tired of being locked in my cage all the time.  I think my slave is going to cave and let us out before the 14 day mark, 10 days is the minimum and 14-15 is recommended but I think it is bothering her to see us locked up.  She keeps apologizing to us, even though we know it isn't her fault and it has to be done.  But I think I'll act mad at her for awhile so she doesn't forget who is the overlord.

Since we are all locked up there isn't much going on so I thought I would post a picture and write a little about my cat slave Sapphire.  She came to us over the Christmas holidays, she was adopted from a shelter.  My slave said she was a birthday present for her, but I think she really was my Christmas present, since she has turned out to be a good slave.  It took a little training, but once I showed her who was boss she came around quickly.  I had to chase her around and use all of "her toys", etc. to make sure she knew I was in charge and own everything.  She quickly caught on that when I put my head down in front of her it means she is supposed to groom me.  It isn't quite as good as bunny grooming but at least I don't have to always do it myself.  Also you can see that I allowed her to lay on my rug for the picture but soon I chased her off to her spot on the couch.  The rug is mine and when I want to lay on it she is not allowed anywhere on it, unless maybe I let her groom me for a bit before I kick her off.

Day 5 of lockdown

So it is time to stop moping and move on.  Boy this lockdown is awful, I really just want to stretch my legs :(  and we have 9 more days to go.  At least my slave swapped around the cat slave and Moo so the cat isn't incessantly meowing anymore.  She was locked in the bathroom, which you think would be okay since it's a whole room and all.  But she couldn't stand it, it sounded like someone was killing her in there, she must have a bad association with bathrooms or something.  She was adopted from a shelter so maybe she was abused in her previous home.  Moo was living in a dog crate pen and now she gets the whole bathroom.  Admittedly I'm a little jealous, but hey I don't want her living in my cage :P  Now the cat is in the crate and is much better, even though she has way less space.  Strange creature that cat is.

Goodbye Gracie :'(

Yesterday poor little Gracie was diagnosed with kidney failure and had to be put to sleep today.  She fought many illnesses and teeth problems but this was finally too much for her.  At least now she is free from pain and binkying at the rainbow bridge.  You are forever in our hearts Gracie, you will be greatly missed by us all.

Vet trip for George and lockdown :(

My cuteness commandos George and Gracie have been a little under the weather lately (for Gracie this is an ongoing thing unfortunately, I'll elaborate later).  So today my slave took George in to get checked out.  While at the vet they discovered that he has mites!! (ewwww)  Unfortunately this means we ALL have to get treated and get confined to our cages for 10-14 days :(  I was told the mites can live off of us for at least 10 days so to make sure my rug and the other furniture are free from them, we need to be kept off of them for that time.  It is going to be very tough on us and my slave, she is going to have to bleach our cages every day to make sure the little buggers are gone.  Ugh, lets just hope these two weeks go fast. :(

But back to George and Gracie.  The vet said that George must have something else the matter with him for his mites to be causing so much trouble with his skin, healthy buns generally remove all signs of the mites through grooming so they are undetectable.  His teeth are good and his tummy felt fine so they took some blood to try to find out what is wrong.  He is pretty sad that Gracie isn't doing so well this might be part of his problem.  These guys were the first addition to my furry army, my slave adopted them back in May of last year.  George is the lop while Gracie is the little up-eared bun.  Their job as cuteness commandos is to distract the slaves with their cuteness so that I can get away with more mischief.  Gracie is particularly adept at this, she even gives kisses to the slaves!  Gracie is far from being a young bunny and has had lots of health issues, but my slave does take very good care of her.  She has very bad teeth, can't put any weight on and has been on 2 antibiotics and pain meds for quite some time.  She hasn't been doing so hot lately and needs to have her molars trimmed tomorrow.  Hopefully she pulls through, I'd hate to lose such a great member of my army.  Paws and ears crossed for little Gracie.

New Birdy

So over the weekend a new critter arrived at our place.  Apparently she belongs to my male slave and had been living at his parents house.  Her name is Lexie and she makes a lot of noise.  I am undecided as to whether she would make a useful addition to my army.  Also she isn't furry, so that may be a problem, it is the "furry" army afterall.  Maybe some sort of aerial scout...  This is the best picture my slave could get as Lexie likes to move around a lot.

Vet Trip :P

So I had to go to the vet for a check-up yesterday.  Sorry for the slow response and lack of a picture, my slave is sick and didn't get a chance to take one of me yesterday.  But the good news is that I got a clean bill of health :)  My teeth look good, the lump on my belly is gone and I lost a whole pound!  I was a little on the plump side when I was at the vets to get spayed in May last year.  It was because of my addiction to Swheat Scoop litter, I'm ashamed but I'll admit it since I have now beaten it.  Once my slave weaned me off of it I was able to get back my trim figure. Chasing my cat slave around also helps keep me lean.  Finally, Moo seems to be improving and she doesn't need any meds yet, here's hoping the sneezing goes away completely.

Haircut for Fuzz

Hahaha...  Poor Fuzz, my slave decided he needed a "hare"cut last night.  He was too embarrassed to even come out of his pen.  Unfortunately, he has temporarily lost some of his desert camouflage skills but on the bright side he would be able to infiltrate some stuffed animal or sheep groups *snicker*.  Apparently he is shedding pretty badly right now and my slave thought it would be better for him to be trimmed up to try to prevent some matting.   She claims no responsibility for the uneven fur on his head, saying it just grew in that way.  A likely story...   I have to say I'm glad this is my blog and not Fuzz's or these pictures never would have made it to the internet.   They don't call me the Evil Overlord for nothing .

I guess I'll share the story of how Fuzz came to join my furry army.  Fuzz aka Sir Fuzzalot (although I refuse to call him sir, that's just the name my slaves came up with for him), is an American Fuzzy Lop and came from Rabbit Rescue.  He tells me he was rescued from a shelter and put into a very wonderful foster home.  When he came to the shelter he was sick and very badly matted, they had to shave him and his foster mom (his words not mine) nursed him back to health.  He came here after my slave saw him on the Rabbit Rescue website and just had to adopt him.  He is the newest bunny addition to my army and the youngest.

Vet trip for Moo

Today my demolition expert Moo had to go the vet.  She has been sneezing the last few days and my slave thought it would be best to take her in.  Luckily it is nothing serious, she told me the vet said that it might just be some irritation and is not on any meds yet.  This is very good news as I would not want to do any destruction work myself.  However, if she doesn't improve by Thursday (my vet trip *shudder*) she'll need some meds.

I guess this is a good time to tell everyone how Moo came to be in my furry army.  She is a half lop with helicopter ears and one of the larger members of my army.  This fall she was given to my slave by a friend who no longer had time to care for her.    This was their loss and my gain!  Moo has excellent destruction skills, she has taken over all of my chewing chores.  I haven't had to chew anything since, well except that one time the laptop cord was calling to me...  When difficult to replace or expensive items are involved a certain amount of finesse is required and I like to be paws-on.

Ugh wet snow

No pic today since I would not allow my slave to take one of me in that ridiculous harness she put me in.  It was way too big and I kept getting my front paws stuck in it, I even did a face plant trying to hop in the snow!  I was not impressed, plus I got my paws all wet to boot.  If she ever wants me to take her out in public again she'd better get me a harness that fits and looks good!  She had to give me several treats before I forgave her.  Now I need to find my cat slave to finish grooming the snow from my toes.

Welcome and some history

Hello, my name is Peanut and as the description reads I am the Evil Bunny Overlord of 2 human slaves, 1 cat slave and 4 other bunnies. I am an adorable minirex, but don't let the cute face and name fool you, I rule this place with an iron paw.
I chose my human slave, Mel while she was volunteering at a local humane society about 4 years ago. I'll admit I am much happier with her than in the shelter or out in the cold. I was the only bunny for quite awhile and we moved around a lot for a few years. I truly became the overlord I am today this past year, as my number of slaves and underlings has grown a lot. The first additions to my furry army were George and Gracie, my cuteness commandos, then there was a short time I was in command of a large white rabbit named Bing, then along came Moo who is my demolition expert and the last addition was Fuzz who is known as "desert combat bunn" for his unique ability to blend into his surroundings (if he was in the desert). My original slave has brought me two new slaves, who I suppose I will put up with. The recent addition is the cat slave Sapphire who is learning the ropes well so far.

I suppose I'll leave it at that for now, the underlings may get a chance to post at a later time.
